Writing Consultant and Editor

I am a lover of creative writing, and I have recently completed an MFA in creative writing with a concentration in poetry. I have been in numerous writing workshops, was an editor for my university publication, interned with a classics literary journal, and have 7 years of editing experience. All of these experiences have grown my ability to engage with creative works and edit them accordingly. My MFA mainly consisted of a lot of writing, reading, and workshop settings. I was fortunate to study under some incredible faculty, and I have been greatly appreciative of how they have contributed to my poetry practice. Workshopping the poems of my peers is one of my favorite activities, and I have logged hundreds of hours in this space. My editing philosophy prioritizes the voice and communication goals of the individual author. Without taking these things into account, it would be impossible to be an effective editor. I want to partner WITH YOU and your goals, and I will set aside all my personal preferences to maintain integrity in this space. For the first couple of years of my college career, I studied film and media studies. This inspired a deep love of film and digital creation. Because of this, I have spent many hours practicing film editing, photo editing, and am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and InDesign. I worked for three years as a Technology and Social Media Coordinator, which required me to create graphics weekly, plan a variety of videos, take and edit photos, and work regularly with social media.
