David O.
E-Commerce Operator & Strategist | Brand & Ops Sys | Paid + Automation
I'm David Oberlander, founder of ONE APOLLO. We build, own, and operate e-commerce brands across Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, and other DTC platforms. Our brands include AutoSolo (automotive alignment tools), Silent Valor (tactical gear and protective storage), DuraClear (home decor), Friendly Straw (alternative disposable drinking straws) supported by manufacturing partnerships in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. What I do is operate e-commerce businesses end-to-end. Product development, sourcing, listing optimization, paid media, lead generation, conversion optimization, and the automation layer that makes the entire stack scale without proportional headcount. I don't take freelance work the way most of this platform operates. I take outside engagements selectively: when a client has a specific outcome to deliver and the work fits cleanly into our existing operations, I bring my full stack to bear instead of just my hours. What that means in practice: You're not hiring an individual freelancer. You're engaging a team plus a proprietary automation layer (we call it ARIA) that has already been hardened on our own brands. The same systems that run our Amazon listings, ad accounts, lead funnels, and Shopify storefronts get pointed at your business. Where I work: - Lead generation automation: qualified inbound funnels, CRM integration, automated outreach and scoring, multi-channel attribution - Shopify and DTC: full storefront builds and rebuilds, theme architecture, conversion optimization, Klaviyo flows, review system integration - Amazon: listing optimization, advertising strategy, brand registry, FBA logistics, MAP and pricing policy, A+ content, sponsored ads, international expansion (US, EU, UK, JP) - Brand development: positioning, copy systems, photography direction, packaging, product launch sequencing, IP defense - AI automation: replacing manual ops work with prompt-driven systems for inventory, content generation, customer service, reporting, and analytics - Sourcing and manufacturing: Hong Kong and Shenzhen partnerships across automotive, tactical, and consumer categories - E-commerce strategy: portfolio-level decisions on category fit, channel mix, pricing architecture, and exit options How engagements work: I bill at $400/hour standard, $500/hour for pure strategy and advisory engagements. In practice I almost never bill hourly. Most engagements are scoped as fixed-price projects with defined deliverables, timeline, and acceptance criteria. The right way to start is to send me what you're trying to accomplish. Your business, your goal, your constraints, and any deadline pressure. I'll come back with a fixed-price quote or tell you it's not a fit and refer you somewhere better. If your project is a fit, you get: - A scoped statement of work with fixed price, deliverables, and timeline - Execution through my team and our automation layer, with my direct involvement on strategy, architecture, and quality review - A finished system that you own, not a dependency on me - Honest answers when something is the wrong move, not just billable hours If your project is not a fit, I'll say so and may point you to someone better suited. Background: I've spent the last decade building businesses across e-commerce, manufacturing, and distribution. Started with a Hong Kong fire-hardware distribution company in 2011, expanded into Shenzhen logistics, then over the last several years built ONE APOLLO into an e-commerce brand incubation and operations group. We currently run multiple seven-figure brands across Amazon US and EU, with Shopify storefronts, paid media programs, and integrated automation spanning the entire commerce stack. A note on fit: If you need someone to do small piecemeal hourly tasks, this isn't the right engagement model. There are excellent freelancers on Upwork who specialize in that, and you'll get faster results hiring one of them. If you need an outcome delivered, with senior strategy and a team and automation behind it, send me a message with what you're trying to accomplish.
