I'm an auditor and accountant with a passion for leveraging datasets to drive results and efficiencies in organizations. In my experience at a Big Four accounting firm, I have worked on projects large and small including companies in the Fortune 500 to family businesses. In particular, my experience extracting and transforming data from a raw format into usable product for our teams has been a valuable resource and saved the firm and our clients numerous hours. My experience with the firm also took me across the world, working both in Australia and the US and with clients and teams in all corners of the globe. Recently, I have settled into financial reporting roles and am looking to do a bit of extra work on the side for additional income as my wife and I save up to remodel our home and start a family. I hold my CPA license in the state of Ohio. I have extensive Excel experience including data extraction from databases and web sources, and transformation using PivotTables, calculated fields and What-If analyses. In addition, I have experience preparing financial statements in line with both US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards. I also have experience with data visualization programs using Microsoft PowerBI and TIBCO Spotfire. In particular I have developed dashboards for clients to project manage status and deliverables and visualize audit results across multiple locations and departments. Finally, in my career at a Big Four accounting firm and beyond, I have worked with hundreds of team members who I’ve witnessed take a plethora of career paths. I am eager to help students and young professionals who are looking to explore careers in the Big Four and internationally. In particular, I can assist with resume/CV drafting and editing and career path exploration.
