Residential Design | Interiors | Revit CDs | 3D Models & Topo

As Principal of North Star Roosts LLC, my role is to direct all architectural design, code compliance, and permitting strategy across our Wren Homes, Cardinal Interiors, and Faulkner Farms & Estates divisions. I ensure every project our firm takes on is fully buildable, code-compliant, and constructible. My background in design began in hotels, but quickly pivoted to a tenure working alongside Southern Living Magazine Preferred Home Designer in the Southeast. This began my bra nch down high-end luxury residential builds, establishing a strong foundation rooted in contemporary rules with modern design. After my time there, trajectory shifted agin, this time to the Northeast. In just over two years over 200 projects were executed - including 100+ historic renovations in century-old ann older homes with a 100% municipal approval success rate in the Boston/Salem metro area - and 40+ permitted and built luxury custom homes in the $850K to $2M range. How our firm operates and where I provide oversight: - Directing schematic design and design development for custom homes, additions, and complex renovations - Overseeing code research and compliance across U.S. jurisdictions (IRC, state amendments, Title 24) - Leading engineering coordination to minimize RFIs and keep construction moving smoothly - Guiding our production team in delivering coordinated Revit CD sets (plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules) - Directing space planning, layout optimization, and interior integration through our Cardinal Interiors division, including finish specs and millwork details What partners say about working with our firm: "Jay's eye for architecture and experience really show.
