🔹 About Gior Gior is a seasoned financial markets professional based in the Netherlands since 2012. He specializes in risk management and finance, delivering consulting and training services to banks and financial institutions across various domains including market risk, credit risk, treasury, and regulatory compliance. He began his career in the Dutch banking sector with Rabobank and later joined ING Bank N.V., both designated as G-SIBs (Global Systemically Important Banks)—institutions considered "too big to fail." At ING, he was involved in a range of market and credit risk management roles (including XVA), covering multiple asset classes such as FX, rates, bonds, commodities, and equities in international markets. Gior is the Founder of Vryska, a boutique consultancy focused on financial risk technology, advisory, and training. Vryska supports banks and financial firms with tailor-made solutions in treasury and risk management. 🔹 Academic & Research Background In parallel, Gior is affiliated with the Faculty of Economics and Business at UPN Veteran Jakarta (Indonesia) as a guest lecturer and academic contributor. His research experience includes work with top-tier French institutions such as Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions (UPMC / Paris 6 and Paris 7 Diderot), ENSTA ParisTech, and CMAP (École Polytechnique / INRIA). He holds a BSc in Mathematics from Bandung Institute of Technology and an MSc in Quantitative Finance from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He is also a GARP-certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
