YA and MG book editor: developmental editing & copy editing

I am a freelance editor of children's, middle grade and young adult novels. I am also the author of a dozen middle-grade novels and am represented by Steven Chudney of the Chudney Agency. I am published by both Penguin (Grosset & Dunlap) and Simon & Schuster (Aladdin/Mix). I'm totally sympathetic to the struggles and frustrations of writers. I have also worked with celebrity chef and Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis on a four-book fiction series for young readers, "Recipe for Adventure." I began my career in Los Angeles working as a copy editor for Weider Publications, whose magazines include SHAPE and MEN'S FITNESS. I was a copy editor for the YA magazine JUMP (now defunct) and worked online for several of the company's magazines. I'm an author and editor of several novels for young readers; writer-for-hire work, member of Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
