I started my career as a volunteer helping low-income individuals filing their tax returns in VITA problem back in 2011. It was challenging but rewarding to me because every client I helped with would truly appreciate my work as many of those were relying on the refund to continuously support their family, which helped me to realize that accounting is not only useful but meaningful. And that was what made me decide to pursue my career in accounting to not just do what I have to do but what I love to do everyday!
