Hi! I'm Jael, a certified Spanish teacher from Nicaragua. I've taught more than 10,000 classes of Spanish and English, mostly to Chinese students, and also to students from the United States, and many other countries around the world, of all ages and levels. I'm certified as a Spanish teacher by Colegio de Español Tía Tula in Salamanca, Spain, an Instituto Cervantes accredited center. Right now I'm completing my studies as an English Teaching Specialist, accredited by Nicaragua's Ministry of Education. Certified as a teacher of English as a foreign language, a bilingual tourist guide, and a call center agent. I´ve worked with students of different ages and backgrounds: My youngest student was 3 years old and my oldest was 93. This work taught me a lot about patience and about finding different ways to explain the same thing, so every person can learn in the way that works for them. For more than 20 years, I've also volunteered as a sign language teacher and private tutor for deaf students and their families. I also have a lot of experience developing curriculums and materials. I designed my own set of teaching tools (with the help of AI, which I guide, review, and correct myself): • Lizzy Lecturas: leveled readings in Spanish and English, from A1 to C2, following the CEFR, with a grammar focus, vocabulary, activities, and student and teacher PDFs. • Lizzy Libros: short graded readers with chapters, illustrations, a glossary, and a printable booklet. • Lizzy Class: complete lesson plans with PowerPoint slides, student and teacher PDFs, and Word files. I use all of them with my own students, and I share the readings on YouTube and Instagram (@lizzy_lecturas). I've also reviewed AI-generated transcriptions, checking accuracy, punctuation, and natural language.
