Krystyna N.
Illustrator&Visual Development Artist | Nature, Brands&Storytelling
I create hand-drawn illustration and visual worlds for brands, publishers, and creative teams, combining visual storytelling, concept development, symbolism, and nature-inspired imagery. My concepts and illustrations are developed from my own artistic and intellectual interpretation of each brief. I research the subject, explore its meaning and context, and build original visual solutions rather than copying existing imagery. I am particularly interested in ideas that do not have an obvious visual form — translating them through symbolism, visual metaphor, gesture, animals, characters, objects, architecture, landscape, or abstraction. Drawing and painting are at the foundation of my practice. Whether working traditionally or digitally, I develop my illustrations by hand, using principles of fine art and years of experience with watercolor, graphite, ink, colored pencil, composition, value, color, anatomy, texture, and observation. I also specialize in transforming AI-generated or imperfect digital artwork into high-quality hand-drawn art. Rather than simply tracing an image, I reinterpret and reconstruct it — correcting form, anatomy, composition, line, color, texture, and visual inconsistencies while preserving the intended direction. The result is artwork shaped by artistic judgment and traditional drawing and painting principles. My work spans visual development, editorial and educational illustration, botanical and wildlife art, children’s publishing, illustration-led brand identity, packaging, and cohesive illustration collections. Recent projects have included visual identity for a luxury jewelry brand, visual-language development for a mindfulness book and app ecosystem, conceptual illustration for educational content, botanical and wildlife artwork, packaging, and surface-design collections. Visual Development & Art Direction • visual language and concept development • visual research and artistic direction • conceptual illustration and visual metaphor • narrative worldbuilding and illustration systems • symbolism, atmosphere, composition, and palette Illustration & Brands • editorial, narrative, and educational illustration • botanical, wildlife, and nature illustration • illustration-led visual identity and packaging • traditional and digital hand-drawn artwork • AI artwork refinement and hand-drawn reconstruction My practice is particularly inspired by the relationship between humans, animals, folklore, memory, and the natural world. I am drawn to projects where research, original interpretation, storytelling, and artistic craftsmanship meet. I am especially interested in long-term collaborations and ambitious projects involving publishing, visual development, branding, education, conservation, nature, and narrative worldbuilding.
