Michele R.

I am a seasoned author, journalist, ghostwriter and content creator with two decades of experience in the field. I have written 800+ published articles and two full-length books, plus several more books co-authored or ghostwritten for clients. In the online space, I have created content for newsletters, blogs, websites, and social media. I have also been writer, editor, art director, and publisher of a popular and widely-distributed independent publication with 30+ editions. I specialize in long-form and complex projects - books, in particular - but the breadth of my experience has given me the ability to tackle any project with confidence. While I am always careful to respect my clients' budgets, I will be the best fit for those whose top priority is quality. My solid background in journalism has given me top-notch research and interview skills, plus a knack for finding/developing the story. I am expert at digging deep into the minds of my subjects to discover who they really are, what they truly care about, and what their valuable contribution is to this planet. This means that I will patiently and intuitively work with you to get at the heart of your message, then present it to the world in clear, compelling terms. I am expert at capturing people's unique styles and voices, so what we create together will always reflect YOU in a way that is authentic and distinct. Particular strengths of my writing include: - Descriptive powers that transport the reader into an almost sensory experience. - Insightful portrayals of people that are nuanced and relatable. - Ability to pierce through the surface of an issue and arrive at deeper layers of truth. - Concise, elegant language that flows without weak points or fluff. - Capacity to convince and inspire readers so that they will not only care but ACT. I work very well independently, but I am also responsive and easy to communicate with should the project be collaborative in nature. Subject areas of specific interest to me include biography/memoir, travel/adventure, well-being, nature, cultural studies, and the arts.
