Before switching, I audited what the system was actually calling at runtime and found unavailable models, one model close to retirement, and a fallback that silently hid failures. We pinned exact model versions and made failures visible in the logs. • Replaced a retiring OpenAI model behind a feature flag, after side-by-side quality and cost comparisons on real grading tasks. • Built an AI code-review agent on Claude Code (subagents, slash commands, Jira integration) that flags over-complicated AI-generated code. • Shipped LTI 1.3 integrations (OIDC launch, JWT validation, grade passback) connecting learning tools to LMS platforms. • Was the sole frontend engineer on a scheduling product built from zero: Next.js, Google and Microsoft OAuth, and a full design system. • Built micro-frontends and backend-for-frontend services for a global online learning platform serving millions of learners.
