Some illustrators learn their craft from tutorials. I learned mine from a 500-year-old tradition. I work in two disciplines: painterly children's book illustration and 2D game art. Both grow from the same root, classical fine art training at the National College of Arts, Lahore, where I studied painting techniques developed in the Mughal era. That foundation is what gives my work its depth, whether it ends up on a bookshelf or a screen. My work has been featured by BBC News, exhibited at the Dubai and Abu Dhabi Art Fairs, and used by clients including Disney and international publishing houses across North America and Europe. On the game side, I have worked since 2019 as Senior Concept Artist at VirtualBrix in Detroit, developing character and environment art for shipped titles. For children's books, I handle the full pipeline: character development, page composition, and print-ready files built to KDP, IngramSpark, and publisher spec. My style is painterly and expressive, built to stop a parent in a bookstore and hold a child's attention through every page. For game projects, I deliver concept art, 2D character sheets, environment illustrations, and stylized assets. I understand production requirements and can work from an art direction brief, match an existing style guide, or build a visual language from scratch. If you have a project in either area, send me a message with your brief and I will tell you exactly how I would approach it.
