People sometimes confuse good copy with good writing. Good writing gets read. Good copy gives people a reason to act. The difference is usually the idea behind it. I’m a professional copywriter and content writer with 5+ years of experience finding those ideas across very different brands, audiences and briefs. My work has taken me from technical product copy and long-form editorial to conversion-focused landing pages, campaign concepts and a Times Square billboard. I’ve written about digital products, music, nonprofits, material engineering and plenty of subjects I knew very little about before the brief landed. I like that variety. Getting curious about something new is one of my favourite parts of the job. I’m particularly useful when there’s something complicated, technical or not-quite-there-yet that needs turning into something people can understand and act on.
