Stephen F.

I’m a senior full-stack engineer with 7 years of building production desktop, web and mobile apps in TypeScript, React, Next.js, Electron and Node.js. At Medal I helped scale the product from 40K to 1.8M daily active users. I owned front-end architecture across the Electron client and the Next.js web app, built real-time Socket services handling 1M+ concurrent connections, and led a migration to Next.js that cut page load time (FMP) from 3.4s to 1.6s. Now I’m building Alt, a community platform for web, iOS/Android and desktop. Its voice assistant runs entirely on a local LLM with tool calling, vision and smart-home control, and the platform is deployed on Cloudflare, Neon Postgres and R2. I can take your project from architecture to deployment, whether it’s a new product built end to end, an Electron or React Native app, real-time features over WebSockets or WebRTC, or an LLM integration that’s fast and reliable. I communicate clearly, use AI tools to move quickly, and write code your team can maintain after I’m gone.
