There is a particular kind of frustration that comes from reading agriculture content written by someone who has clearly never stood in a farm. It sounds right. It cites the right things. But farmers read it and nothing changes, because it was never written from the ground. I am a Coffee Agronomist based in Kirinyaga, in the Mt. Kenya highlands, and I have spent years working directly with smallholder farmers inside cooperative systems. I have designed spray programs, run farmer training sessions, diagnosed crop problems in the field, and worked alongside exporters and certification bodies on quality-focused production.
