I am an experienced journalist of over 15 years who can produce high-quality content and take the average copy and transition it into professional copy. I can also assist you with copy editing and proofreading needs so your copy is stellar and error-free. I specialize in sports, working the last 5 years primarily as a sports copy editor and writer. In my career, I have achieved the following: - I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from the University of South Florida. - I worked for 10 years as a copy editor, agate researcher, and in layout design at one of the top newspapers in the country, working in the sports department. - I taught Journalism, English, U.S. History, and Creative Writing for nine years and developed an award-winning Yearbook and Newspaper program after starting it from scratch. - I helped develop award-winning high school writers and journalists at the state level. - I won Journalism Teacher of the Year in 2016. - I type at a 102 WPM rate with 98% accuracy. - I have completed projects and received excellent feedback on Upwork in the areas of review writing, copy editing/proofreading, web content, press releases, and sports opinion columns. What can I do for you? I can help you with the following: - I have extensive experience in review writing. I taught it for nine years and have completed many projects thus far on Upwork, conducting reviews. - I can provide web content for your website, whether it be new or needs to be upgraded. I will make sure the writing sounds professional and communicates to the audience what you are looking for. - I can look over and proofread any copy you need, and can also recommend or make the proper adjustments to improve the overall quality of writing so it tailors to your needs and your audience's needs. - I have experience in marketing and can assist you with copywriting and advertising. - With my teaching background, I can design and prepare tests, quizzes, and worksheets in the areas of English, Creative Writing, and History, all which I have a Professional Teaching License in. - I can blog content for you so that what you are trying to get across can get across in a professional and sophisticated manner. To summarize: If you are looking for someone who is a strong writer and can help you with your copy needs, let's talk. If you are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do and will never miss a deadline, I'm an email away. If you are looking for someone to have a good relationship with and who will cater to your needs and do whatever it takes to produce what you are asking for, look no further. Overall, I am determined to succeed and do something I love, and writing and editing are my passion. I have a history of being a tireless and hard worker who will do whatever is necessary to produce a desired product. I believe the client-employee relationship is important, and I will meet the client's needs. I have never missed a deadline in over 15 years. On the fun side of things, I love sports, particularly golf, and have actually tried to become a professional golfer on the side. However, hitting a golf ball 12 hours a day started to wear thin. I am a big Notre Dame football fan and a huge Tampa Bay Lightning hockey fan. Go Bolts! I am fluent in English and Seinfeld, and am a movie nerd. I know the movie Braveheart by heart.
