At 5 years old I started begging my Mom to teach me how to sew. She would give me her fabric scraps and I would make clothing for my Barbie doll. I made my first outfit for myself when I was in 4th grade from fabric left over from my Grandma's "stash". (I come from a long line of seamstresses going back as far as my Great-grandmother!) I have been a passionate seamstress now for over 50 years. After retiring I turned my passion for sewing into my own custom fashion design and construction business, Suanne Brooks Studio. I have experience in everything from t-shirts to tailored men's suits. Working with local designers over the past several years has given me to opportunity to take on some unusual projects which I find very rewarding. I would love to take on your apparel project and know I will be able to give you a beautiful, custom fit garment. I am eagerly looking forward to working with you, Suanne
