Jesse O.

I’m an investment writer and analyst with more than 15 years of experience across portfolio trading, fund operations, fund product management, and capital markets commentary. Before becoming a full-time writer, I built my career inside the investment industry, working across several roles that gave me a deep, practical understanding of how financial products, portfolios, and markets operate. As a Client Portfolio Trader, I executed trades across tens of thousands of discretionary accounts in a single day. As a Portfolio Operations Manager, I helped manage multi-billion-dollar tactical asset allocation calls. And as a Product Manager, I was responsible for a group of flagship multi-asset class funds with more than $4 billion in assets under management, while also leading the launch of an innovative suite of index-tracking ETFs from concept through inception. That institutional background is the foundation of my writing. I don't approach financial content as an outsider. I understand how investment products are built, how portfolios are managed, and how sophisticated financial ideas need to be communicated to different audiences. Since transitioning into financial writing, I have produced more than 10,000 social media posts and authored more than 2,500 published articles, white papers, and thought leadership pieces for financial firms, fund managers, and newspapers, including Forge Global, Changebridge Capital, Ionic Capital, Toroso Investments, EB Wealth, GraniteShares, The Dallas Express, and Infrastructure Capital. I've held the CFA charter since 2017.
