Hello, my name is Julie and I am a textile designer and artist based in New York City. I graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Textile Surface Design and a minor in Art History from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2020. I plan to expand my work into the textile industry primarily through print design. My inspiration derives from nature and organic textures. It focuses much on articulate design for various markets including apparel, home décor, and furnishings. I strive to create prints that are sophisticated for the modern market. A hand-drawn then digitally manipulated print is what you will see most from me! I consider myself a hardworking and motivated person who strives to achieve all goals and responsibilities. I am very capable of overcoming challenges and problem-solving. As a resident of New York City, I am immersed in a world of unique and innovative individuals, all who are inspired to create content that appears to the eye – whether its clothing, art, or textiles. In my past experience at Dreamwear, a lingerie manufacturer, I had the opportunity to perform textile design and development tasks as a print designer; creating original print designs and repeats.
