I am a filmmaker with over 10 years of experience and a background in documentary production. By working on documentaries, I have become a more adaptive videographer that is comfortable working in fast-paced environments and is accustomed to editing large amounts of footage into clear, concise videos that are always driven by emotional storytelling. My background in documentary film has given me years of experience in all aspects of film production. One of the most valuable skills I have gained from documentaries is my excellent people skills. Spending hundreds of hours working with non-actors that are not experienced in front of a camera has taught me how to get my clients to open up and feel comfortable while I work with them. In addition to this, I excel in the following technical capacities: - Cinematography: Lighting, composition, and use of camera stabilization systems for cinematic camera movement. - Directing Interviews: research during pre-production to formulate questions, ability to develop rapport with the subject so they can deliver natural responses, and quick thinking to react on the fly as the interview evolves. - Editing: 8+ years of experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom) Outside of videography, my greatest passion is conservation and protecting the environment. I have produced videos for a variety of organizations focused on environmental issues, ranging from national and international organizations such as the Endangered Species Coalition, Stand.earth and Rainforest Action Network, to local non-profits such as 350 Seattle.
