Senior Backend & Cloud Engineer | .NET, Python, Microservices

I build reliable backend, cloud, and integration systems for companies where downtime, disconnected systems, and bad data are expensive. With 12+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, I work hands-on with .NET/C#, Python, APIs, microservices, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP. My strongest area is designing systems that connect real-world operations with cloud platforms, including IoT devices, edge computing, third-party systems, and environments where connectivity cannot always be trusted. I can help you with: • Backend architecture and development with .NET/C# or Python • Microservices and distributed system design • REST API and third-party system integrations • IoT and edge-to-cloud architecture • RabbitMQ messaging and event-driven systems • PostgreSQL performance and data architecture • Docker, Kubernetes, GCP and AWS deployments • CI/CD and GitHub Actions • Architecture reviews and modernization of existing systems • Debugging complex production and integration problems Deep experience in IoT & Aquaculture In recent years, I have worked extensively on production aquaculture systems, including native feeding-system integrations, autonomous feeding workflows, fish-farm infrastructure, sensor and echosounder data collection, and edge-to-cloud synchronization. This includes integrations with environments such as ScaleAQ, Fluctus and AKVA, as well as systems that must continue operating reliably at remote sites with unstable network connectivity. I have designed solutions involving local edge services, centralized cloud platforms, RabbitMQ messaging, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Docker and automated deployment pipelines. That experience translates well to any system involving devices, remote locations, industrial integrations or distributed data flows. Beyond IoT I have also delivered software across SaaS, banking, logistics, marketplaces, payments, education and enterprise integrations. I am comfortable joining an existing codebase to solve a specific production problem, or taking ownership of architecture and implementation for a larger system. My preferred engagements are long-term technical partnerships where I can understand the business domain, simplify the architecture, automate repetitive work and build systems that remain reliable in production.
