Abasifreke E.

I'm a Senior Product Designer with over 10 years of experience building digital products for fintech, SaaS, and underserved markets across Africa. I've worked at the founding stage, which means I'm used to making fast, high-quality decisions without a large team behind me. At Sudo Africa, I designed the internet banking product that now processes over 1 billion naira in daily transactions. At DreamStart Labs, I led the redesign of DreamSave, scaling it from 1,500 to over 13,000 savings groups across 37 countries. Most of my work sits at the intersection of complex systems and real human constraints, financial products that have to work for first-time smartphone users, operational tools built for people in the field, SaaS platforms that need to scale without falling apart at the seams. What I Do Best: Fintech and Financial UX Mobile-first banking and payments flows Onboarding and KYC for low-trust environments Dashboard and transaction management interfaces Payment Infrastructures SaaS and B2B Product Design Multi-role platforms and admin dashboards 0 to 1 product design for early-stage companies Design systems that development teams can actually use Design to Code I don't just design products, I build them. Using AI-assisted development, I can write and ship production-ready code in any language or framework a project requires This means I can own both the design and the implementation end to end, from wireframe to working product Fewer handoff gaps, faster iteration, and a designer who actually understands what it takes to build what they spec Research and Strategy User research in emerging market contexts Information architecture for complex workflows Translating ambiguous briefs into clear product direction Best Fit Projects: Fintech and financial services products SaaS platforms and B2B tools Products designed for Africa, Southeast Asia, or other high-growth markets Early-stage startups that need a designer who can think, design, and ship Teams that want design and development delivered together, without the handoff tax If you're building something where the design has to hold up in the real world, not just in a demo, I'd like to talk.
