I work at the intersection of technology, cybersecurity, and emergency management, helping critical infrastructure organizations reduce risk and strengthen resilience to cyber, physical, and natural threats. My multidisciplinary background includes expertise in cybersecurity, emergency management, meteorology, software engineering, and communications systems. I am especially interested in the convergence of cybersecurity, physical security, and emergency management, arising from the increasing interconnectedness of cyber-physical systems. Integrating these functions is vital for protecting people, processes, and technology. It ensures organizations can build integrated incident management capabilities required to detect, respond to, and recover from incidents with direct cyber-physical impacts. I work on a diverse array of projects, from technical work that includes cybersecurity assessments, designing and developing secure software and system architectures, and supporting cyber incident response, to strategic initiatives focused on strengthening organizational resilience through policy development, training, and exercises. I hold several professional credentials in cybersecurity, emergency services, and communications, including the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CEM (Certified Emergency Manager), and FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License. My academic background includes an MS in Information Science and an MPA in Policy Research & Analysis from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a BS in Meteorology from Penn State.
