Cold email is dead, long live LinkedIn! Seriously, though, I've been doing cold outbound consulting for over two years now. In that timespan, things have dramatically changed in the world of cold email. Deliverability is harder than ever. And, when you do get into someone's inbox, it's impossible to stand out because everyone's inbox is flooded with the same exact messages. Especially if you're going after high target markets (eComm being number 1). It's tough. If you're looking for cold email campaigns, I'm not your guy anymore. I'd recommend talking to someone in India or Bangladesh, who can use AI to write some slop email, but then use their technical expertise to send it to 5,000,000 people a day. You're playing a war of attrition at that point, and hopefully you'll be able to get to your numbers. I'm, at heart, a sales guy - not a technical person. So this isn't an arena I compete in anymore. However, that doesn't mean there isn't value left in outreach. On LinkedIn, everyone plays by the same rules. You're allowed 20-30 connection requests a day. You can bypass those rules with InMail... but there is a huge credibility ding when you send someone an InMail. And, when you actually do make a connection, you're leagues ahead of a faceless email that appears in an inbox. I've had the good fortune to work with one of the most successful LinkedIn outbound agencies.* In that time, I've learned the "tricks of the trade" and combined it with my existing cold email approach, to offer you a cold LinkedIn strategy that will increase your meetings set by 2-3x. I've seen the numbers myself as we've tried these different strategies.
