Most developers wait to be told what to build. I start by asking what it costs you now. I work with businesses to find where technology actually pays — auditing how an operation really runs, reading the numbers behind it, and building only what moves them. Sometimes the answer isn't software, and I'll tell you that too. That thinking is where Artemis came from: an analytics and automation platform I built for Philippine cash-on-delivery e-commerce, now handling 10,000 orders a day. In COD, return-to-sender is the single biggest cost line in the business and almost nobody measures it properly. So I built the reporting that breaks RTS down by product, confirming agent, rider, province, price band, and customer order history — then the automation that acts on it: customer notifications across SMS, chat, and AI voice calls, and a risk-classification rule set that decides which orders are worth confirming at all. For one COD client, that work took their return rate from 24% to 18% within a month — a quarter off the largest cost line in their business. The data behind it comes from automation I built in n8n and Puppeteer: authenticated scrapers pulling daily sales, inventory transactions, and purchase orders out of an ERP with no usable API. Session handling, server-side DataTables, 350,000-row tables, headless browser sessions dropping mid-run — and eventually rebuilding the extraction to drive the underlying AJAX endpoint instead of paginating the DOM. Automation that survives contact with production is a different job from automation that demos well.
