Hello, my name is Astrid Rivas, and I am an Industrial Engineer and Project Coordinator currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Project Management. I support businesses and project teams by combining structured project coordination, operational support, business development assistance, and continuous process improvement. I have experience across multiple industries, including construction, architecture, manufacturing, procurement, and property management, which allows me to adapt quickly to different operational environments. In my current role as a Project Coordinator, I am responsible for coordinating project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, facilitating communication between internal teams, clients, and subcontractors, and managing project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts. I also support budget tracking and invoicing, organize project files and schedules, and contribute to the continuous improvement of coordination and administrative processes to enhance project efficiency. In addition, I bring strong experience in procurement and supply chain coordination, where I was responsible for the expediting, management, and follow-up of critical raw materials for the manufacturing of electrical harnesses and PCB boards. This included working closely with international suppliers—primarily based in China—as well as national vendors, coordinating shipments, delivery timelines, and material requirements while ensuring compliance with quality standards. I maintained constant communication with vendors and sales representatives, resolved discrepancies in purchase orders, performed technical analysis of incoming materials, and contributed to procurement process improvements. This role directly supported the optimization of production timelines, minimized material shortages, and strengthened strategic supplier relationships across the supply chain. As an Industrial Engineer, I naturally focus on process improvement, data analysis, and operational optimization. I am organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable, able to work independently or collaboratively, and committed to delivering consistent, high-quality support that helps projects and businesses grow.
