Murillo Z.

I'm an avid gamer who found an opportunity to ally passion with my profession in the writing scenario. I feel lucky to be able to support myself working as a video game writer! I have five years of experience writing creative content for games while I kill a level 77 orc with my bare hand with only a quarter of HP and no more potions. Did I mention that my favorite genre is RPG? My favorite genre is RPG. I've been playing games since I was 6, and I never stopped. I fell in love with the RPG genre because it is so story-driven and creative that it makes me wish the game never ends. My passion for stories has expanded to films, series, and animes, in which I consume a daily (almost unhealthy) dose of episodes. This passion, coupled with my profession as a content writer, allows me to write articles with personality and authenticity. You won't see my writing "Everything you need to know about X game" if I never knew the series or played the genre before. If this happens, it will involve much research since I am terrified to publish anything without fact-checking. Nowadays I'm shifting toward scriptwriting and narrative design for games. My works include a romance book for the visual novel app Daring Destiny, where I wrote the novel Million Dollar Detour of almost 50,000 words. I wrote the entire first chapter of the upcoming GPS-based role-playing game LootQuest, which is in alpha testing, and also wrote character backgrounds for the mobile game Ark Legends. During my time here at Upwork, I've had the opportunity to participate in a couple screenings, mainly those in the RPG genre with a high fantasy setting, which is an area of my mastery and genuine interest. On technical matters, I can use Twine and Padlet to create branching narratives. I know how to tune my writing to the gameplay, respecting technical limits and the developers' patience. You can trust your project - or quest - with me. I will do my best to satisfy all your demands and deliver a top-notch piece, building a great relationship so my career and yours can both level up.
