YouTube Script Writer | Science, Health, Business & Finance
I write YouTube scripts that make complicated subjects interesting, clear, and worth watching to the end. My work spans science, business, finance, technology, health, and educational content. I enjoy working on topics that require more than summarising information: finding the central story, explaining the difficult parts without oversimplifying them, and building a narrative that keeps the viewer curious. My approach starts with research. Before writing, I look at the subject, the audience, and the angle that makes the video worth watching. Then I build the narrative around a strong opening, clear progression, well-paced explanations, and transitions that make viewers want to know what comes next. I pay particular attention to how a script sounds when read aloud. It should feel natural, not like an article being read to a camera. Every section should contribute something, whether that is a new piece of information, a surprising connection, or an answer to a question raised earlier. I can work from a topic, a detailed brief, an outline, or reference videos. I also take the time to understand a channel's existing style so that the finished script feels like it belongs on that channel. My background in medicine is particularly useful for health and science projects, where accuracy matters as much as accessibility. My wider nonfiction writing experience also helps me handle research-heavy subjects that need structure, context, and a compelling narrative. If you need a writer who can research a subject thoroughly and turn it into a script that feels engaging rather than textbook-like, send me your topic and a reference video. I'll be happy to discuss the approach. What I can help with - Long-form YouTube documentaries - Science, space, and educational videos - Finance, business, and economic explainers - Technology and industry documentaries - Health and wellness scripts - Research, outlining, and narrative development I aim to deliver scripts that are well-researched, clearly structured, natural to read aloud, and tailored to the audience and the channel. My Process 1. Understanding the brief We establish the topic, target audience, video length, channel style, and the purpose of the video. Reference videos and existing scripts help me understand the tone you're looking for. 2. Research and angle development I research the subject, identify the most relevant information, and look for the central question or angle that will make the video interesting to watch. 3. Structuring the narrative Before drafting, I organise the material into a clear progression. The opening establishes the reason to watch, each section builds on what came before, and the conclusion brings the central idea together. 4. Writing and refinement I write in a natural, conversational style, paying attention to pacing, transitions, clarity, and how the script sounds aloud. I then check the draft against the brief and refine it for delivery. 5. Revisions Two rounds of revisions are included, subject to the agreed project scope, so we can address feedback and bring the script closer to your channel's voice.
