Junior Fashion Designer | Technical Flats & Pattern Digitalization
Hi! I'm Emperatriz — a creative and detail-oriented fashion designer looking to start my career in the fashion garment industry as a Junior Fashion Designer, with a strong focus on technical flats, pattern digitalization, and research. I’ve studied fashion design and worked on my own projects, and now I’d love to collaborate with other designers and brands in the garment industry. Even though I haven’t worked for a fashion garment company yet, I have a solid foundation in sewing, patternmaking, textiles, and hand embroidery. These skills help me understand how garments are built and what designers need to bring their ideas to life. I can create clean, accurate technical flats, or help you turn paper patterns into digital ones using Illustrator. I also enjoy helping with the creative research process. I have experience designing and developing collections, creating mood boards, and working with fabrics, trims, and materials. I understand how to identify which types of fabrics work best for different kinds of garments. While working on my own, I’ve had hands-on experience with materials like jersey, silk, and tulle etc, for customized clothing. I’m also skilled at digitizing patterns, and I’m good at spotting small mistakes or inconsistencies during the process, making sure everything is accurate and ready for production. I'm excited to assist freelance designers, fashion brands, or small teams with technical flats, pattern digitizing, or creative design tasks. I work remotely and I’m always open to learning more and growing in the field. What I Can Help You With: • Technical Flats in Adobe Illustrator • Pattern Digitalization • Spotting and Correcting Errors during pattern digitizing • Design Support (mood boards, line sheets, creative research) • Sewing & Patternmaking Insight to support technical accuracy • Creative Input using embroidery, textures, and fabric knowledge Skills & Tools: • Adobe Illustrator (technical drawings, vector patterns) • Adobe Photoshop (basic editing) • Canva (mood boards, presentations) • Sewing, Patternmaking, Hand Embroidery & Textures • Fabric and Trim Knowledge for garment development • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) • Slack, Trello, Zoom – Easy to work with remotely • Intermediate Knowledge in Shopify / WooCommerce experience
