Structural Engineer || ADU. Multifamily. Commercial || Code Compliant
Permit rejected. Revision requested. Deadline missed. These are the things clients come to me to avoid. Over the past five years I have completed more than 250+ structural projects across the United States and the work gets done right the first time. I work across all major structural systems including wood, steel, concrete, and masonry. The range of projects I have handled covers single family homes, duplexes, triplexes, quadplexes, ADUs, remodels and additions, mixed use buildings, daycare centers, warehouses, PEMB foundations, retaining walls, shoring systems, and seismic design of nonstructural components like acoustical ceiling grids, baffle grids, MEP equipment anchorage, and rack systems. That breadth means I adapt to what the project needs rather than fitting every job into one approach. I have worked across California, Florida, Texas, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. I already know what the AHJ in those jurisdictions wants to see, how they want to see it, and what typically triggers a revision cycle. I design to avoid those problems before submission. My code knowledge covers the editions currently in effect: IBC 2024, ASCE 7-22, ACI 318-19, AISC 360-22, TMS 402/602-22 for masonry, CBC 2025 for California, and FBC 2023 for Florida. I apply the right code for the right jurisdiction, not just what I am most familiar with. What I deliver: -- Structural analysis and design for wood, steel, concrete, and masonry systems -- Gravity and lateral system design including wind and seismic per ASCE 7-22 -- Seismic design of nonstructural components: acoustical ceiling grids, baffle grids, and suspended systems -- MEP equipment anchorage design and rack design -- Foundation design including spread footings, pier footings, and PEMB foundations -- Retaining wall design and shoring design for foundation work -- Base plate, anchor bolt, and connection design per AISC 360-22 -- Masonry wall and shear wall design per TMS 402/602-22 -- Full permit ready structural submittal packages: plan views, elevations, sections, framing layouts, footing plans, and connection details -- Structural calculations formatted for licensed PE review and stamping -- AHJ comment responses and drawing revisions Software: Analysis: ETABS, SAP2000, RISA 3D Drafting and BIM: AutoCAD, Revit Calculations: Enercalc, Tekla Tedds, Excel I have a small team of structural drafters supporting my projects so consistent volume is not a problem. I also have PE partners licensed in California, Florida, and Texas for stamped drawings and calculations when required. If your project needs a structural engineer who knows the codes, knows the states, and delivers submittals that do not come back with problems, send me a message. I will tell you within 24 hours whether I can take it on and what it will cost.
