Tracy G.

Your readers should focus on your message rather than little distractions like grammar, syntax, or spelling errors. I enjoy being one of the last lines of defense in polishing a document so your content and your voice can truly shine. When you work with me, we collaborate until you are thrilled with your work, whether that takes one round of edits or ten. I will maintain, and sometimes strengthen, your voice, but the final decisions are always up to you. My clients have commended my ability to maintain consistency and voice, my attention to detail, and my collaborative approach. I use Track Changes/Suggestion Mode to edit for grammar, consistency, accuracy, and voice. I use comments to flag potential issues, ask clarifying questions, and explain the reason for some suggestions. My experience in copy editing and proofreading includes: * Bible Studies and Christian Literature – I am deeply familiar with Reformed theology. I will edit, proofread, and ensure doctrinal integrity that aligns with Scripture, all while maintaining your voice. * Academic Alignment – I can align your curriculum with subject-specific learning standards (NGSS, ISTE, CSTA, CTAE, CASEL, and SEL) and state-specific learning standards. * Curricula (Reading; STEM, Pre-K through high school) – Your curriculum will be clear, accurate, and pedagogically sound. I specialize in delivering error-free, engaging content that supports educators and builds student success. * E-Learning Content – Your tone, branding, and instructional terminology will be consistent across interactive scripts, assessments, and module transcripts. I actively listen to your audio to ensure alignment with on-screen text. * Professional Development and Training Materials– I’ll check more than just mechanics. I will ensure that the content communicates to your specific audience, encourages active learning and engagement, and maintains technical accuracy, consistency, and your brand's voice across multiple documents. * Board Game Manuals – Having over 100 tabletop games in our library, I am uniquely familiar with the necessity for accuracy in not just the structural flow, but in terminology consistency, component verification, and rule clarity. * Memoirs – My goal is to have your reader think, “This sounds exactly like [you, the author] is sitting here with me, telling their story.” Grammar is a tool to serve you as the writer, so if we have a choice between a sentence being grammatically correct and sounding like you, we go with the latter. * Self-help Content – Are you a trustworthy expert in your field? I can help you give your readers a clear, actionable, encouraging message they can apply to their lives, while meticulously keeping your voice and brand terminology consistent. * Website Content – I have edited and proofread multiple websites in nearly all genres. I use Microsoft Office 365, PDF Expert, Google Workspace, and all Apple software. I'd love to hear from you. Please reach out with your project's scope, and I'll get back to you within 24 hours. We can set up a retainer if you need consistent, fast-turnaround editing.
