Georgio S.
Mechanical engineer and 3D draftsman
Mechanical Engineer | SolidWorks Expert | Product, Mold & Machine Design | CNC Machining | PLC Programing. I’m Georgio, a Mechanical Engineer and Head of Manufacturing at MES. My work combines product design, SolidWorks modeling, photorealistic rendering, mold design, CNC machining, and machine development. Working directly with manufacturing gives me a practical understanding of how decisions in CAD affect tooling costs, assembly, appearance, and performance. Your product needs to look good, function reliably, and make sense to manufacture. I bring the design skills and hands-on engineering experience to work through all three. With 17+ successful Upwork projects in just over 4 months, and over six years of professional experience, I help clients develop products, improve existing designs, and prepare for manufacturing. Here’s what that experience looks like: • 50+ bottle designs that reached production through PET blow/stretch-blow molding and HDPE extrusion blow molding. • Mass-produced products including heavy-duty plastic transportation pallets, robot vacuum cleaner work, and a paint bucket range with an adjustable mold I designed to reduce tooling costs. • A rotary yogurt-jar rinsing machine I personally designed and built, including the chassis, stainless-steel fabrication, rotary mechanism, and PLC controls. • Direct collaboration with our manufacturing partners in China to bring my designs through tooling and production. I can help you with : • Product design: consumer and industrial products, from early concepts to detailed engineering. • 3D modeling: precise SolidWorks parts, assemblies, mechanisms, and design refinements. • Product rendering: photorealistic visuals for presentations, marketing, and e-commerce. • Plastic parts and molds: injection molding, blow molding, and manufacturing-focused geometry. • Design for manufacturing: practical improvements to materials, wall thicknesses, tolerances, assembly, and production cost. • Machine design and automation: mechanical systems, fabrication, PLC programming, and sensor/actuator integration. • Reverse engineering and prototypin: models developed from existing parts, scans, drawings, or reference images. • Production documentatio: technical drawings, exploded views, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications. HOW I WORK I take ownership of the engineering behind the model. If I identify a weak feature, an unnecessary manufacturing expense, or a simpler assembly approach, I explain the issue and propose a solution. You can expect clear communication about progress, engineering decisions, hours, and trade-offs. I work comfortably with founders, internal design teams, and manufacturers, and stay involved as designs move through review, prototyping, and agreed revisions. As one client described our collaboration: “What I got instead was a true engineering partner.” Whether you’re developing a new product or improving something already in production, send me your brief and the challenges you’re facing. We’ll establish a clear scope and a practical path forward. Send me your idea, I’ll tell you exactly how to approach it.
