Madeleine H.
Senior Accessories Designer | Handbags, Jewelry & Leather Goods
I’m Madeleine, an accessories and product designer and former Collection Director with more than 20 years of experience in the luxury fashion industry. I spent several years leading accessories teams and collections for brands including Alaïa, Paco Rabanne, and Massimo Dutti. This experience taught me how to create products that are well designed, technically possible to make, true to the brand, and attractive to customers. Today, I bring that experience to founders and established brands through Bye Bye Studio. Here is how I can help you: A project can start with nothing more than an idea, a few references, or a rough sketch. From there, I develop the design direction, proportions, materials, details, and construction until the product feels coherent and ready for the next stage. When the design is already clear, the focus is different. I translate the concept into a precise, factory-ready tech pack that gives the manufacturer the information needed to develop the first sample correctly. For established brands, I can step in as an experienced senior designer to develop a new product or accessories collection, while working independently within the existing brand identity. My expertise includes: • Handbag, leather goods, and small leather goods design • Footwear design • Sneaker design • Jewelry design, from initial concept to technical drawings and 3D renders • Sunglasses design, from initial concept to technical drawings and 3D renders • Soft accessories design, including hats, scarves, belts, and textile accessories • Soft goods, including dog/animal product, interior design products Depending on the project, the work can include mood boards, concept sketches, final product design, precise tech packs, material and trim recommendations, or custom hardware design. Development support is also available when needed. This can include sample reviews, construction corrections, and clear factory feedback to help improve the next prototype. Through Bye Bye Studio, clients can also access our established international network of factories, manufacturers, and suppliers. What separates my work is the combination of creative direction, technical knowledge, and real manufacturing experience. I have spent years working directly with development teams, factories, suppliers, and tanneries. I understand how products are constructed, what factories need to produce an accurate first sample, and which design decisions can create unnecessary costs or development problems. I do not simply execute a shape. I help clients create products that feel coherent with their brand, relevant to their customer, and realistic to manufacture. Tell me about your product, and let’s discuss the best way to develop it.
