What is being said about me: * "We think you’d be an excellent fit for this project, given your consistent, high-quality Correctness and Clarity edits." * "I've really enjoyed working with you and you certainly are talented." * "Should you ever want to write any stories for us the door is always open." * "Thank you for your hard work Susan, I will definitely be using you again. you did a great job." Let me help you, the way I've helped others. Based on your needs, please see my specialized profiles for content writing and editing. About me: In the last several years, I've edited thousands of documents and manuscripts on the extensive Grammarly platform as a member of its editing team. It has been incredibly fun to tackle complex peer-review papers, scientific, business, legal, and government documents, creative manuscripts, news articles, and transcriptions, and the list goes on as to the types of documents I have edited. My scope of work includes various English dialects, including the nuances between American, British, Oxford, Australian, and Canadian English, and advanced editing, such as paragraph and sentence reorganization, fluency, brevity, and flow from one sentence or paragraph to another. When I edit or proofread a client's writing, I bring my experienced skillset to the table to ensure the document shines with a "show, don't tell" flair within an errorless frame. Additionally, I expertly switch between multiple writing styles, including AP Style, MLA, Chicago Manual of Style, and APA. Internally, I have been entrusted to work on several special Grammarly projects, such as the Clarity Plus team, which offers advanced editing, and the new-editor mentoring team, which showcases my ability to assist and work successfully with others. Currently, I'm working with the Language Research team to improve Grammarly's algorithms concerning the communication system's ability to offer customers more in-depth fluency suggestions; in other words, training the AI. I am a journalism major with a communication degree from the University of Utah. I began my career in 2005 as a sportswriter for The Salt Lake Tribune, and after tackling government, education, and features writing, I moved into editing in 2008 as the features editor at a California Bay Area newspaper. I also spent five years editing a prominent weekly Air Force newspaper. Since then, I have written for additional newspapers and magazines, so I genuinely understand the editing process from both the writing and the "red pen" standpoint. I will continue to give Grammarly clients the best editing experience possible, but I would also like to add additional clients. I prefer long-term clients, but if you have just one paper for me to edit, I would be happy to help. I believe I can help anyone's writing shine, and by working closely with you, I can ensure your writing is the best it can be. Contact me for your editing needs. I'll be glad to help!
