My goal is to deliver value to your organization by combining my experience with my Master's degree in Business Management, Human Resources, and SHRM Certification. Hello there! My name is Ryan Smith, I have spent the last 5 years in HR & IT, holding positions such as IT Manager, HR Director, HR Business Partner, Recruiting Coordinator, and HR Generalist. Working primarily for a variety of start-ups and in fast-paced environments, I've seen it all-such as assisting companies with partnership agreements, acquisitions, employee contracts, employee engagement, and building winning cultures. While also coaching numerous companies on all facets of employee performance, including employee handbooks, hiring, policies and procedures, job descriptions, and I’ve utilized many different HR tools to help make a company successful. Additionally, I have recruited, built teams, and established a winning culture for several startup companies. These teams include supply chain, marketing, finance, human resources, accounting, customer service, and more. By doing so, organizations I have worked for have won the award "Best Place to Work" in the Orlando Business Journal. Diving more into the specifics, in three complex business environments, I have built HR departments from the ground up with great success in three start-up organizations. In addition to onboarding and offboarding employees, I have extensive experience with employee relations, investigations, mergers and acquisitions, FMLA, various leave policies, program and project development, employee engagement, writing job descriptions and resumes, managing performance, PTO, developing career maps, implementing tools for successful and professional recruiting, strategic planning, change management, FLSA, classification and compensation, payroll, benefits, and all other human resource functions. Overall, I operate with a high sense of urgency and ownership, providing 110% effort in every aspect of work I perform.
