Clinical Psychologist | Mental Health Technical Writer
Good documentation disappears. Users find what they need, understand it immediately, and never think about who wrote it. That's the goal of everything I write โ and in mental health products, it comes with a second, non-negotiable requirement: it has to be clinically right. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist and technical writer. I create documentation, help content, and educational material for mental health apps, telehealth platforms, and digital health companies โ content that's structured, clear, and genuinely usable, and that holds up to clinical scrutiny because it's written by someone who understands the psychology behind it. Most companies in this space face a choice they shouldn't have to make: hire a skilled technical writer who doesn't understand mental health, or lean on a clinician who isn't a strong writer. I'm both. That means no accuracy gap to patch later, and no clinical reviewer bottleneck for every draft. What I write: - Product documentation & user guides โ clear, task-focused help content for mental health and wellness platforms, written so users succeed on the first try. - Help centers & knowledge bases โ organized, searchable support content structured around what users actually need, for both members and the clinicians using your tools. - Patient & user education โ accessible psychoeducational material on anxiety, depression, trauma, CBT concepts, and more. Accurate, responsible, and easy to act on. - Onboarding & in-app content โ the microcopy, flows, and guidance that shape how users first experience your product. - Clinical content review โ an audit of existing content for accuracy, responsible language, and stigma-sensitivity before it ships. How I work: - Clarity first. I write for the reader's task, not to sound impressive. Simple structure, plain language, no jargon that isn't earned. - Research-driven. Every piece is grounded in current psychological literature โ no pop-psych myths, no fluff. - Trauma- and stigma-sensitive. Every word chosen with care: clear and clinically responsible, never triggering, never pathologising. - Clinical validation built in. The core of what I offer. You don't route my work past a consultant to confirm it's sound โ that check is already done, because I'm the clinician. What you get: documentation and content that's as accurate as it is clear โ from a writer who speaks both psychology and product, and who understands that in mental health, getting the details right isn't optional. If you're building in mental health and need content you can trust, message me and tell me what you're working on.
