Priscilla M.

I am a line and copy editor and proofreader with over eight years of experience. A native English speaker, I am competent at formatting and proofreading several types of documents, have extensive line and copy editing experience, and offer constructive feedback on style and tone of writing. At the University of Wyoming, I majored in journalism with minors from the Honors College and in graphic design, which honed my sharp eye and attention to detail in addition to providing a strong background in editing and revising many kinds of writing. Outside of the rigorous exercise in both line and copy editing that journalism coursework afforded me, my work with the University of Wyoming's Institutional Marketing and Communications department led to further time spent writing and editing news releases, social media posts, and more for the College of Arts and Sciences. For several years, I have worked with a college admissions consulting company, reviewing students' essays and providing feedback on both grammar and essay content. Over the course of the past three years, I also worked closely with a local floral shop, initially revamping and then maintaining their website by writing, editing, and updating copy, focusing especially on their bridal services, floral subscription club, and team biography blurbs. Most recently, I have proofread graduate program applicants’ Personal Statements and Statements of Purpose as well as multiple graduate students' PhD and Master's dissertations, formatting each document according to the respective universities’ specifications.
