I started writing as a kid. The sort of things you’d expect an eight-year-old to write, but I took them seriously. That interest grew into journalism, then content writing, then three and a half years working in marketing across startups and agencies. Somewhere along the way, my work expanded from writing the content to researching the audience, reaching out to potential partners, coordinating creators, and making sure the whole thing went out on time. These days, I help founders and small teams keep their marketing moving. Sometimes that means finding the right creators for a campaign and following through from the first message to the final deliverable. Sometimes it’s researching prospects, writing personalised outreach, or getting a CRM back into shape. Other days, it’s a newsletter, a content calendar, or a pitch deck that needs a clearer story. A little of what that has looked like: • At BeautyShelf, I owned brand and creator outreach, helping bring in close to 100 creators and brands. • At AMAKA, I led social media and community work that drove 500+ creator and business signups quarterly, and helped execute creator campaigns for brands including Sony and Volkswagen. • At Brandoris, I supported the founder with prospect research, outreach, follow-ups, CRM management, and pitch decks. It’s given me a useful cocktail of experience: creative enough to contribute ideas, organised enough to keep track of the details, and comfortable doing the everyday work that brings a plan to life. I like a well-written message. I also like knowing the follow-up is scheduled, and the lead is logged properly. Both the creative and operational side of marketing matter to me. People I’ve worked with describe me as reliable, curious, and highly coachable. I ask questions, learn quickly, take feedback seriously, and keep people informed. Once I understand what we’re working towards, I’m comfortable taking ownership.
