Lucas W.

I’m a human-interest and feature writer who specializes in telling real stories — stories that go beyond an average interview and connect with people on a deeper level. Over the past 5+ years, I’ve written and interviewed athletes, coaches, professionals, business owners, and community members, focusing on the moments, struggles, and journeys that define who they are — not just what they do. Some of my interview subjects include: Hailey Hernandez (2020 Olympic diver) Neil Rampe (Major League Baseball trainer) Michael Davidge (champion weightlifter and Olympic hopeful) Cort MacDonald (Stanford baseball outfielder & MLB prospect) What sets my work apart is simple: I don’t just report — I listen. I know how to find the heart of a story, build trust with interview subjects, and turn real experiences into compelling narratives that resonate with readers. I also offer fixed-price interview-based writing packages through my Project Catalog, including human-interest profile articles, community impact profiles, and founder/business stories. These packages are designed for businesses, nonprofits, schools, teams, and organizations that want polished, people-centered content for their website, blog, newsletter, social media, or internal communications. Whether I’m covering a rising athlete, a founder’s journey, a community story, or a powerful personal profile, my goal is always the same: Tell a story that people actually feel. If you’re looking for writing that brings authenticity, depth, and emotional connection to your content — especially in sports, human-interest, profile, and interview-based storytelling — I’d be glad to work with you.
