Kehinde J.
Senior Mechanical Product Design Engineer | DFM, NPI & Manufacturing
I bring product design, mechanical engineering and shop-floor manufacturing experience to every project, helping clients develop physical products that function as designed, meet performance requirements and can be manufactured consistently to specification. With more than 12 years of experience across product development, engineering and production, I’ve worked closely with manufacturing suppliers in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, the United States and Europe. My projects include work in medical devices, automotive, military and defence, consumer products, hand tools and heavy machinery. I bring a practical understanding of how decisions about materials, mechanisms, tolerances and assembly shape product performance, production quality and cost. This knowledge allows me to identify engineering and manufacturing risks early, make sound technical trade-offs, and take ownership of the decisions that move a product towards manufacturing. Across my projects, 90% of designs have progressed to manufacturing. Clients engage me when the engineering matters: developing a new product, resolving complex mechanical challenges or preparing an existing design for production. My focus is to reduce the risk of costly redesigns, production delays and quality problems by resolving critical engineering decisions early and delivering products that are fit for purpose and practical to manufacture. HOW I HELP ◦ Product Design & Development ◦ Industrial & Mechanical Design ◦ Mechanical Systems & Mechanism Development ◦ Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM/DFA) ◦ Engineering Analysis & FEA ◦ Engineering Documentation (ASME Y14.5 & ISO GPS), GD&T & Tolerance Analysis ◦ Reverse Engineering & Scan-to-CAD ◦ Prototyping, NPI & Manufacturing Readiness WORKING TOGETHER Every project starts with understanding the product, its requirements, and the challenges that need to be resolved. I establish the engineering scope, identify critical risks, and agree on the deliverables before development begins. Throughout the project, I communicate key decisions, explain relevant trade-offs, and keep the work aligned with the agreed requirements. Depending on the project, deliverables can include 3D CAD models, production drawings, analysis reports, prototype documentation and manufacturing support. You will have direct access to the person responsible for the engineering decisions and delivery of your project. TO GET STARTED Tell me what you’re developing, its current stage, and what you need it to achieve. We can take it from there. Sketches, photographs, existing drawings, or CAD files are useful starting points.
