I am a meticulous, responsive editor and proofreader who will help you to take your writing to the next level. Are you looking for an editor that will not only make sure your writing is error-free, but will also work with you to produce writing that is concise and effectual? I can work with you in both areas so that your project reaches its fullest potential. Ensuring that your writing is free of grammatical and spelling errors is an important part of what I do, but it is just one piece of the puzzle. Using a holistic approach, I will also work with you to improve the overall flow and clarity of your writing to guarantee your project has maximum impact for your target audience. I also have extensive experience with Microsoft Word formatting and design and will help you to produce a polished piece of writing that looks as good as it sounds. My process includes the following: -An overview read to determine the overall effectiveness of your writing’s purpose and ensure that it is appropriate for the target audience -A paragraph-level read for clarity, flow, consistency, and tone (line edit) -A fine-grained proofread to address any grammatical, spelling, or citation errors -A formatting review that will make use of font, document styles, and 508-compliance (if needed) I gained much of my original editing experience by working as a writing tutor and will use these skills to meet your individual needs as a writer and to make your work shine. I also have extensive experience with editing writing from non-native speakers of English and can address language-specific issues that you may be struggling with in your writing. I am experienced with all major style guides, so whether you are writing for a business, academic, or marketing setting, I can ensure your writing meets all of the requirements for your area. I am extremely responsive and will provide constructive, considerate feedback that will elevate your writing. My services include: -Editing and proofreading (using APA, Chicago, or AP style guides): academic papers | reports, briefs, proposals | book manuscripts (fiction and non-fiction) | press releases, white papers, marketing materials | website copy | PowerPoint presentations | resumes and cover letters -Developmental editing: I can work with you at the development stage of your project to address the overall structure, style, and logic of your writing -Document/presentation formatting using Microsoft Word, Publisher, or PowerPoint I am dedicated to making sure that every piece of writing reaches its maximum potential.
