Experienced in research design and analysis, with skills focused in statistical modeling and machine learning. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in computational neuroscience from Dalhousie University. Demonstrated experience in bringing together disparate data sources for advanced analytics and data visualization, database management and software development. Strong background in goal- oriented team management and project coordination. My doctoral research focused on optimizing models using linear mixed modelling, generalized additive mixed modelling, and machine learning (random forest) for detection of significant effects and prediction. Simpler testing methods are available as needed (t-test, ANOVA, chi-squared, etc.). I am comfortable with large, incomplete data sets requiring imputation/cleaning, as well as smaller data sets, or combining disparate data sets into large data bases for analysis using R, Matlab, or SPSS.
