I specialize in creating experiences for people!! My teaching career provided a vast array of experiences, both in the classroom and as an active committee member. I have a master’s degree in literacy which I utilized daily to assess, instruct, remediate, and design curriculum. I also collaborated with college teacher preparation programs to mentor new teachers and provide professional development opportunities for colleagues. The second stage of my career included a public library where I managed their social media account, created, planned, and hosted community-based events and programs for all age groups. This included finding and training volunteers, proposing a program budget (and applying for grants) for the fiscal year, purchasing event materials, and tracking monies spent. On the Upwork platform I have written educational blog posts and content articles, co-authored a decodable book series, and developed curriculum/teacher manuals for a first grade reading program.
