I build directories, client portals, and internal tools on Softr + Airtable. When the platform can't do what you need, I fix it: JavaScript inside Softr, Cloudflare Workers outside it. A lot of Softr projects stall the moment a client needs custom filter logic, an approval workflow, or an integration the native blocks don't support. Some things I've shipped past that wall: - Fixed a broken search/filter on a live directory with custom JavaScript (a Unicode character issue Softr couldn't handle on its own) - Built an admin approval workflow on a free Airtable plan: editors update staging fields, admin clicks approve, automation pushes it live. No paid seats needed. - Wrote a Cloudflare Worker that tracks profile views, outbound clicks, and form submissions, because the client wanted real analytics, not guesses - Designed a 9-table relational Airtable schema for a government contractor directory: contractors, certifications, NAICS codes, agencies, opportunity matching My largest build to date is a SLP directory. We're a good fit if: - You have a directory or portal idea and want the data model designed properly before a single page gets built - Your Softr or Airtable setup hit a limit and you need someone who can go under the hood - You want automation that doesn't add another $100/month in Zapier bills. I use direct webhooks and Cloudflare Workers where it makes sense. Probably not a fit if: you want the cheapest possible setup, you need a native mobile app (Softr is web only), or you want polish on top of a broken database.
