Production SQL Server performance tuning is what I do every day. By the time most clients contact me, they've already spent time trying to understand the problem and need another set of experienced eyes on it. High CPU, blocking, deadlocks, query timeouts, long-running queries, and sudden performance regressions are the kinds of problems I spend most of my time investigating. I don't start by making changes. I start by understanding what's happening. For the last 10+ years, I've focused on troubleshooting and optimizing SQL Server performance in production environments. I've worked with SQL Server 2008 through SQL Server 2025 across on-premises environments, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Amazon RDS for SQL Server.
