Heather M.

I specialize in truth-based, trauma-informed memoirs that honor lived experience while transforming it into a powerful, readable narrative. I work with survivors, achievers, and individuals who have endured loss, injustice, recovery, or profound life change—and who want their story told with care, clarity, and authenticity. As both a ghostwriter and a full-service editor, who specializes in developmental editing, I guide projects from raw memories to a polished, publication-ready manuscript—protecting emotional well-being, but without endless drafts or loss of their authentic voice. My process preserves your voice while shaping the story with vivid imagery, emotional pacing, and narrative structure that keeps readers engaged without sensationalizing pain. I am particularly skilled at translating complex emotional experiences into language that feels honest, grounded, and resonant. Whether your story is autobiographical or biographical, my focus is on truth, dignity, and transformation. Confidentiality, collaboration, and respect for your lived experience are central to every project. With 24+ years of trauma-based writing experience, I combine professional guidance with empathy to help clients tell their story without feeling overwhelmed. If you’re ready to bring your story to life safely and authentically, let’s discuss how we can work together.
