WHO IS JOSÉ? He's a skilled taco eater turned Creative Director / Innovator. A Mexico native, sneaker junkie (checks over stripes all day), tequila aficionado and a fútbol player who occasionally runs marathons for charity. Used to be a chemical engineer -not even half a joke- before realizing he'd be much happier flexing his creative muscles for a living. Enjoys traveling the world and squandering entire Saturdays with his wife, his son and their two pups. He boasts a healthy obsession with any and all sports - including a pretty strange mishmash of allegiances you’ll have to ask about in person. Oh yeah, and he's one hundred percent fluent in English and cien porciento en Español. Did the math. It checks out. NO, BUT SERIOUSLY José Ángel was born and raised in Mexico City (Chilango fo' life). He graduated college from Universidad Iberoamericana and started his advertising career at 021 Comunicaciones. A couple of years later, he moved to South Beach to attend Miami Ad School. His career includes stints at McGarryBowen New York, Lápiz-Leo Burnett Chicago, Merkley & Partners New York, Crispin, Porter + Bogusky Boulder, McGarryBowen Chicago, Walton Isaacson Chicago and VML Kansas City. (*coughs*, pats self on back) His work has earned national and international recognition from the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, The Clio Awards, Guinness World Records, New York Festivals, American Advertising Awards and ANA Multicultural Excellence Awards.
