Mariya S.
Translator (with English, Spanish, and Bulgarian) and Writer
A drama graduate from Trinity College, Dublin with a high command of three languages, and experience in the arts both in Bulgaria and Ireland. I can provide accurate, fluid, and grammatically-correct translation in the fields of travel, lifestyle, literature, and culture in various formats. I'm good at talking and interviewing people - I've worked as a street casting director - I was casting random people on the street for movies and then interviewing them. I can also write well - I write plays, short-stories, ads, product descriptions, podcast scripts, YouTube scripts, etc. A play I wrote and directed is performed in Sofia at the moment and was nominated for an Askeer Award in the category Best Contemporary Play in Bulgarian in 2024. The same play also won in the category for debuts. I've also worked as a medical interpreter for a while.
