Derek P.

Since 2009 I have provided developmental and copy-editing services for a range of traditionally published and independent authors. In each instance, I have worked closely with authors to bring their manuscript to publishable standard. A large part of this work involves developmental issues, such as plot, pace, voice, character, and continuity. I also help authors to develop their prose style, whilst maintaining their distinctive voice. Each edit includes extensive copy-editing to correct any grammatical, syntactical and typographical errors, mitigate repetition, and address any potential sensitivity issues. I have also ghost-written six novels for an established fantasy author, as well as more than twenty novels in my own right. Whilst English is my primary language, I also have familiarity with Latin, French, German, and a little Greek.
