Rajiv J.
Senior Full-Stack Engineer & Solution Architect | Node.js, AI Agents
Hello, I am Rajiv. Seven years in full-stack, most of it inside banking and fintech. 2,700 hours on Upwork, 100% Job Success, Top Rated Plus. The mobile banking app I worked on for an Indian small finance bank passed 1 million downloads. I design the system, then I build it. Angular on the front, Node.js and Express behind it, the database under that, and the payment rails wired in between. Most clients hire me because they do not want to assemble three people. A frontend developer, a backend developer and someone to own the integrations is three calendars and two handover gaps. ⚙️ THE FOUNDATION: SOLUTION ARCHITECTURE AND DELIVERY • I take a product from a blank repo, or an inherited one, to something running in production, across the full stack • Schema design, API contracts, authentication, deployment • Internal admin and operations platforms: role-based dashboards, approval workflows, reporting • The monitoring that tells you it broke before the client does • I stay for the boring part after launch 💳 PAYMENTS AND REGULATED FINANCE • On the banking app I built the parts that move real money: UPI, NEFT and IMPS transfers, beneficiary management, account statements, bill payments, cheque services, instant debit card hotlisting • Around those, the failure paths: OTP-gated transaction approval, multi-layer authentication, encrypted API traffic, transaction validation workflows • Support through penetration testing and audit cycles • I also worked in the development team on the Bank of India E-Platform, its public digital banking portal Banking work changes how you write code. You start from the assumption that the transaction fails and someone reads the log afterwards. That habit stayed with me on everything since, including the projects where nobody asked for it. 🅰️ ANGULAR 14 THROUGH 20, IN PRODUCTION Not a version range in a keyword list. • Angular 19 runs a home services marketplace with live payment checkout • Angular 19 runs a real estate platform where I did the Core Web Vitals and search visibility work • Angular 20.3 runs an admin dashboard for a public-safety product • TypeScript and RxJS with strict typing throughout, and the same contracts held on the backend 🟢 NODE.JS AND THE DATA LAYER • Express APIs, REST design, third-party integration • JWT and OTP-gated auth, role-based access control • Redis for cache and sessions, WebSocket where the screen updates itself • MySQL and PostgreSQL underneath 🤖 AI FEATURES INSIDE REAL PRODUCTS My lane is the engineering around the model, not the model itself. • On a patents-pending acoustic detection product I built the web and mobile dashboards, the alert and notification pipeline, role-based access control, and the APIs behind the event and analytics layer. Detection ran on-device, so the hard problem was latency and delivery guarantees • On a market signal platform I built the Angular 20 client against a Python and FastAPI backend over WebSocket, with Redis and PostgreSQL, streaming live data into a dashboard that had to stay readable while it moved That is the same engineering an AI agent needs. Tool calls that reach real systems, state that survives a restart, streaming that does not drop halfway, a cost ceiling, access control, and a sane answer when the model returns nothing usable. If you have an agent that demos beautifully and falls over against production data, that is the problem I am useful on. I will tell you plainly where the model work ends and mine starts. 📱 MOBILE FROM ONE CODEBASE • Ionic and Capacitor for Android and iOS • Including the part most developers get stuck on, which is App Store and Play Store review • When a native capability was missing I wrote the plugin in Java, Kotlin or Swift 🔄 UPGRADES AND SERVER-SIDE RENDERING • I migrated a global nonprofit campaign platform from Angular 10 to 12 and added Angular Universal, which fixed search visibility and first paint together • It carries 128 million recorded actions across 171 countries • Old Angular is not automatically a reason to rebuild, and I will tell you when it is 🔐 A NOTE ON CLIENT NAMES Most of my work sits behind agreements I intend to keep, so this profile describes the sector, the stack and what I owned rather than the brand. Message me and I will walk you through the live products, the versions they run, and which parts were mine. 🧰 STACK Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, Tailwind, Node.js, Express, REST, WebSocket, JWT, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Firebase, Python, FastAPI, Ionic, Capacitor, GCP, Azure, Cloudflare, Git. I ask a lot of questions before I quote. It is cheaper for both of us than finding the problem in week three. Tell me what you are building and I will say honestly whether I am the right person for it.
